Before & after

The challenge
The homeowner wanted aluminum house numbers installed on the brick wall beside the front entrance. The installation required accurate positioning and careful drilling to avoid damaging the brick and ensure the numbers remained securely attached.
What we did
Installed two aluminum house numbers—a 2 and a 9—to form 29. The installation kit included mounting templates, metal mounting posts, wall anchors and hardware.
Used the templates, a level and a pencil to mark the mounting locations, then carefully drilled the brick with masonry drill bits. Installed the anchors and metal posts, and seated the numbers using a hammer and a protective wood block to avoid striking the aluminum directly.
Tools used: drill, masonry drill bits, level, pencil, hammer and protective wood block or plywood. Safety glasses and hearing protection were used during drilling.
The result
The aluminum numbers are securely mounted and aligned beside the front door. Their spacing from the brick creates a floating, three-dimensional appearance and adds a clean, modern detail to the entrance.
